Liz Cox Music Studios is partnering with The Southern Pines Land and Housing Trust to host a series of three engaging musical theatre summer camps for students in kindergarten through 12th grade. These week-long camps are designed to give students the opportunity to explore the world of musical theatre in a nurturing, creative, and fun environment.

Each camp will run Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and will culminate in a live performance for family and friends at the end of the week.

The first camp, “Red, White, and Blue-sical,” will take place June 29 through July 3 and is open to students ages 6–10. This patriotic music revue will feature student performances of skits about famous American figures, paired with traditional American songs. The camp will conclude with a performance on the evening of July 3.

The second camp, “Dream Role Showcase,” will be held July 6–10 and is open to students who are rising 9th graders through rising college freshmen. Participants will have the unique opportunity to select and perform a number from their dream role, while also collaborating on the production’s creative elements, including lighting, set design, and costumes. Performances will take place on July 10 and July 11.

The final camp, “Let’s Go to the Movies: A Celebration of the Movie Musical,” is scheduled for August 3–7 and is designed for students who are rising 6th through rising 9th graders. Campers will perform musical numbers from beloved movie musicals such as Singin’ in the Rain, High School Musical, and The Greatest Showman. Performances will be held on August 7 and August 8.

The cost for each camp is $200 per student.

These camps aim to foster creativity, build confidence, and encourage collaboration among young performers of all experience levels.
